Why Be a Friend of the OB Library?

As the City of Ormond Beach population grows, so does the need for library materials, resources, programs and services. The mission of our Friends group is to support the Ormond Beach Library through fundraising, advocacy and volunteerism. We coordinate and staff the seasonal book sales and the Book Sale Room. We support the library’s children’s and teen programs, computer classes,  film series, speaker presentations and musical performances, sponsor the volunteer luncheon, help fund purchases of library furnishings, equipment and materials, stock the Free Seed Library and provide complimentary copies of the BookPage -- just a few of the things we do.

If you are interested in joining us, you’ll enjoy a few membership benefits, and we welcome you enthusiastically! You can be a one-time donor, a contributing member and a volunteer. You’ll find our brochures in tabletop stands around the library... on the circulation/checkout table, by the magazines, and in our Book Sale Room. We are a charitable, nonprofit organization, so your contribution is tax deductible.
